Hi Geoff,
Great to see G in N Wales. I live on Anglesey and may be getting involved with resurecting the garden railway at the Joys of Life Country Park, near Bethesda. It had SM32 until about 1999 when it was dismantled before the place was sold. It still has its original 5″ gauge railway. The present owners are now keen to rebuild the small railway, so I advised then to go G scale. I hand build Gauge One myself, but there is so much G on the market I feel it would be best for them.
Colin Cartwright of Betws museum says he has sold a lot locally, so where is it all?
There should be a local G group by now. I know Dave Mees from near Maenan who is doing SM32, but he may know some G modellers in the area.
Please get in touch as I would like to have a chat about the proposals at the JoL Bethesda.
Best regards, Dave Mills Tel: 01248 713903
Hello I'm Geoff Powell, the Station Master of Colwyn Garden Railway. Welcomes to the Website. There's info to read and pictures to look at, but first let me draw your attention to the video section where you can take a ride on the train!
